About me

I'm Sophie, a resin artist from Todmorden, West Yorkshire and I've been hooked on the medium for 9 years. In that time I've learned to tame the wild beast of resin and am driven to show the world what beautiful, unusual art it can create.

As a Fine Art graduate from Leeds University, I am driven to push what I can do with this versatile medium and create true art. Nothing can escape a coating: furniture, floors, bath panels… if it lies flat it'll get a coat of resin. I use pigments, powder and texture in painterly fashion and incorporate stones and crystals to create 3-dimensional effects. As well as my never-ending quest to capture a perfect resin sunset I explore the worlds of geode art and seascapes, translating them into my own style.

I live in the majestic hills of Todmorden, which is part of the Calder Valley, with Hebden Bridge just down the road. This unique community and landscape are a constant source of inspiration.

What People Are Saying

“Gorgeous, like something out of a fantasy movie”

“Unconventional - pushes what art can be”

“Haven't seen anything like it before”

“Really stands out from the crowd”

Some wonderful words there from people who have seen my work at fairs and exhibitions. I think they say it far better than I ever could. Resin is a bold, unpredictable medium and I thrive on creating the most unexpected work with it. I love seeing the joy spread across people's faces when they see it. It's the biggest validation for choosing the path less trodden when it comes to resin art.
